We helped crew for my Dad this weekend at a local hot air balloon rally. My dad no longer owns his own balloon, but helps other pilots out sometimes. Friday and Saturday night Dad was in charge of getting the Rally's announcer's balloon up for the balloon glow. Melinda, Emerson, Nola and I went out to help. Jason joined us on Saturday night. This was not my first rally, but I am always awed at the sight of glowing balloons. Even balloons in flight are awesome-especially if your a passenger! Emerson and Nola had a blast, although the loud noise and heat of the burner was a bit frightening. They stood at a distance cheering on Gramps, who was piloting Coyote Moon for the night.
